Seriously, We’ve Watched This Hector Santamaria Flip 50 Times Today

This morning, the artist formerly known as Hector Santabananagram, Hector Santamaria revealed to us what he called a “Flippy Moppy Flip”. It came along with the rest of this edit, featuring Hector at home in Puerto Rico doing mostly unorthodox aerials on waist-high waves. Hector’s been known to do weird things on his surfboards. He’s also been known to be part alien, elf, and small wave specialist. We’ve spent a good amount of time watching this inverted double-grab, and still can’t understand the physics of sticking one off a wave so gutless. Neither we nor the section saw that coming (the flip be seen at 2:48).
