Over the weekend, Ian Crane’s surf-adjacent brand Beach Head released an Instagram competition to name their new film, which features Ian Crane, Caroline Marks, Eithan Osborne, Yadin Nicol and Pat Gudauskas in California and Morocco.

Comments flowed in thick and heavy, with innuendo running rampant in the race for cerebral supremacy. The Beach Head crew even arranged some giveaways for the top five submissions, including:

1st: a 12-month Stab Premium subscription
2nd: a Beach Head kit
3rd: a ‘Guiding kit’ (which presumably consists of teeth whiteners and a lifetime supply of happy pills)
4th: a Freestyle x Caroline Marks signature watch
5th: a Beach Head kit

And on top of all the, each person in the top-5 additionally received a case of hard seltzer from Tolago (yes, they’re all 21+)

After scrutinizing the litany of entries, Ian landed on an official selection. Drum roll please…

Taking home the glory was @vicarious_vern (aka Matt Smith), who with the help of a dirty little homonym, will be watching his self-titled film, ‘Wax on, Wacks Off’, two days before its official launch courtesy of a free Stab Premium subscription.

Welcome, Matt!

While the film will be going live to the public in 48 hours, Beach Head wanted Stab’s loyal readers to see it first. Stay tuned for an exclusive interview with Ian about the film on Friday!
