Pipeline Went Berserk Last Winter

It’s basically mid-November and still we’ve yet to see a proper Pipe swell. It’s not a big deal or anything, this season could still prove to be one for the e-books, but the fact of the matter is that we miss our dear Pipeline. We miss the energy. We miss the aggression. We miss the lunatics that throw themselves over the ledge but most of all we miss the incredible rides it provides. There’s a reason this A-frame is widely considered the best wave in the world.

For those of you who also miss Pipeline, we recommend cutting 10 minutes out of your day to watch this 2016/17 highlight reel from the North Shore. It was expertly filmed and produced by Matt Catalano and Sam Sykes and shows, we believe, the true potential of reef-bound brine. Call it a nostalgic ode to yesteryear or a pre-season hype up, just don’t call it late to winter.
