Pete Devries, rubber party in Tofino
Pete Devries is one of the world’s best cold water surfers which, taken to its most extreme point, is an art in itself like big wave surfing or tuberiding. The things this man does in wildly restrictive rubber (head to toe)? V good. But here, he throws down in relatively warm conditions by his standards. “It’s not that cold,” says the man who filmed this clip, Ben Gulliver. “Usually sweating in a 5/3. The water temp is 10 and air temp 12-14 (celsius). Usually I can swim for an hour or two before Im over it.” This was shot during a few weekend surfs in Tofino. Throw Action Bronson in the mix and we’re ice cold (the good kind).
