Not Another Indo Rip Clip
Noah Collins ditches convention and finds the path of less friction.
Stab’s inbox gets a lot of Indonesian reels, and the clips start to blur.
A lot of good surfing, a lot of great waves, and a lot of pointy thrusters.
But every once in a while, something decidedly different comes along that’s worth further examination. Today, that something was Noah Collins’ stylish and speedy surfing in the Indian Ocean, much of which was performed on a midlength-esque board model named after an East Asian mushroom.
I’m no wildlife expert, but I spy a Panda under the Los Angeles native’s lively feat. Specifically, a Shiitake, the popular twinzer/twin/quad from Blake Peters. Fast and lively, this is a well-rounded blade that can even go to the air, if you’re Noa Deane in Hawaii.
Noah’s edit won’t win SEOTY, but it’s a nice reminder that you can ride something with a bit more foam that is good for other things besides getting in early. Call me ignorant, but I had no idea twinzers could turn like that.
Thank you Noah for the crash course.
