No salt, no sharks: Ian Crane surfs the Great Lakes
There’s no salt, no sharks and no crowds in the Great Lakes, a series of interconnected freshwater lakes on the Canada – US border (hi, Wiki!). Ontario on one side, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and more on the other. Not exactly surf city, but get enough breeze into the area and waves can break. Ian Crane, fabulous San-Clementine goofy, went to jam there in surplus rubber recently. Far from the easiest surfing conditions, but certainly boasting much novelty.
