The waves in Fiji today couldn’t have drowned a small rodent.

Unless of course you’re counting the two-foot wind chop born from a howling northerly, which blew throughout the day and decimated any hope of a coherent swell line at Restaurants or Cloudbreak.

Yet hardly one week ago, the Red Bull A-team arrived for its pre-booked trip to Fiji in preparation for the WSL Finals. The very same seas that appeared gutless and tattered today were in full bloom for Molly Picklum, Jordy Smith, Erin Brooks and co over a productive four-day stint.

The standout of the pack, however, was none other than recent Tahiti champ and current world #4, Jack Robinson. His performance was so enchanting that the Red Bull video team felt compelled to create a bespoke edit to honor his brilliance.

There’s Michelangelo at the Sistine Chapel. Lionel Messi at Camp Nou. Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone. And then there’s Jack Robinson at an open-ocean reef pass.
