Mikey February Lands The Mothership In France

Rumors have been swirling about a super session recently held at a very finicky righthander somewhere in the Atlantic.

According to eyewitnesses, the standouts of the swell were Aritz Aranburu and Mikey February.

When this clip popped up on our YouTube feed, I hastily clicked, expecting to see Aritz and Mikey getting standup barrels over barely a foot of water.

But that’s not how Mikey and Spearhead operate. When Stab reached out to discuss that particular swell, both Mikey and Aritz showed some reservation about sharing information too soon. Locals have been concerned about the potential media frenzy, so the pair decided to hold off on releasing their content for now.

As we head into the Northern Hemisphere Spring, Mikey is now sharing footage likely filmed between last Fall and Winter, giving his custom CI creations a brief hiatus and opting for a pristine white thruster at La Graviere’s shorepound — a rarity these days.

But sand-gurgling shorebreaks aren’t the only thing on offer around Hossegor, and there are plenty of Twin Pin moments on waves that offer a bit more as far as putting rails and bottom contours to work.
