On one side we have Cody Young – the very haole, square-stanced power grom who’s earned his Surfing PhD from Frederico Morais University. 

On the other we have Imaikalani Devault, whose very name reveals the extent of his Hawaiian heritage and whose surfing is also strong but significantly more poetic than pal Cody. 

Together they dominate lineups from Ho’okipa to Honolua, leaving nothing but crumpled walls and foam trails in their wake. If ever there was proof that opposites attract, this video is it.
