John John’s first surf back (the footage)

Avid surf fans have already seen the clip of John John Florence enjoying his first surf back on a normal board. It was posted on Mason Ho and Cheeseburger’s new site, Burger In Paradise two weeks ago. But now the clip’s been unlocked and, just in case you ain’t seen it, we bring it to you live, now. After an extended period outta the water due to ankle injury sustained on the Gold Coast (and two missed world tour events, being Bells and Rio), John wandered down the sand one windy day with a blank board that Bob Hurley had handshaped for him, then proceeded to risk the life of said handshape on the rocks at a little Hawaiian wedge that Mason kinda rules at. Those backside blowtail reverses are anything but stiff.
