Jack Robinson Is Not Scared of Tiny Waves

Bring on the beach break Tour.

“I guess I did everything backwards,” Jack Robinson said when we asked about his small wave prowess.

“Most kids grow up surfing playful little beach breaks and then eventually graduate to heavy reef waves. Because of where I grew up, it was the opposite for me,” Jack explained.

This is a startling concept. Jack Robinson felt confident in his abilities at waves like North Point and The Box before he was at Dbah or Snapper. But even if his order of operations (Please Excuse My Diminutive Australian Surfing) was slightly out of order, he still arrived at the desired solution.

In the edit above, which is “coincidentally” being dropped just prior to the CT’s beach break leg, Jack Robbo flexes his grovel skills and shows that both he and his shaper (Hawaiian icon Eric Arakawa) are more than capable of scaling their operations down and sparking fire.

This is yet another Snapt4 B-side, the full film drops this summer. Details coming soon.
