Indonesia Ranked Top Destination For Families*

One aspect of the human condition is the sense that you are always just one board away from surfing really, truly, very fucking good.

Your abilities are there. Your fitness, too. When things go awry, it must just be those damned curves that have been sculpted into your polyurethane or expanded polystyrene.

And so surfboards are always interesting to us.

As you may know, Channel Islands (it’s statistically your fav board company, FYI) offers a range of boards they refer to as the ‘Happy Family.’

The Happy Family includes four models. The Better Everyday is a step-down. The Two Happy is a high-performance shortboard. The Big Happy is an HPSB for big fellas. And the Happy Traveler is a Step-Up. Despite the surname of the Better Everyday, it does not come from a different father — they were all sired by Britt Merrick.

Anyway, the pitch is that while each board is designed for different conditions, they’re all meant to feel somewhat similar so that you don’t spend half your session trying to remember where to put your feet when you switch it up.

Recently, CI sent Cam Richards, Peter Mel, Shun Murakami, Kyuss King, and Kian Martin on a Family trip to Indo. You can enjoy the fruits of their labor above.

Go ahead and guess who got the wave of the trip.
