Nate Zoller was the former editor of Surfer Magazine’s, Beached Days. A periodically-released print offshoot from Surfer composed of long-form editorial pieces and high impact graphics and typeface. It burned bright and fast, as print’s romantic but cumbersome properties struggled to find a foothold in the face of the great online media transition. 

Nate, a Laguna Beach native is also a talented surfer, especially in the tube as you will see from this clip, where he spends most of his time hiding behind the curtain.

Dear Mexico, which was shot during multiple strike missions throughout the course of 2021. “Every session in this edit is memorable,” said Nate. “Most of the days we shot for Dear Mexico were on solid swells, so I think the film carries a kind of ode to what Mexico can offer. No matter where you go in Mex it always turns into an adventure. The proximity to California, the different waves it has on offer, the local people, the food…it’s the best.”
