“He Goes On Waves When People Tell Him Not To, Just For Fun”
Introducing Wade Clemens.
Australia’s Central Coast breeds a certain type of surfer.
Humble, hungry, and incredibly hard-charging. The type of guy that looks unassuming enough on land, then proceeds to spin last-second on a six-foot closeout and pull in for the thrill…only to downplay it later over beers.
“Ah, that little thing? Hardly blew me eyelids back.”
Which brings us to Wade Clemens—a Central Coast lifeguard/laborer who moonlights as a semi-pro surfer. When he’s not hucking himself over resident ledges, Wade self-funds trips to Tahiti and Shipstern Bluff. As No Contest creator and fellow Central Coaster Jacob Wooden tells us, “Wade’s the kinda kid that will go on waves when people tell him not to…just for fun.”
Based on the above video evidence, he’s also got a tidy air game and ain’t afraid to lay a rail. The type of surfer it’s impossible to hate.
