Julian Wilson, backside swirling on the Sunshine Coast
Julian Wilson just took a ninth at the Quiksilver Pro, Snapper Rocks. “I couldn’t really get in rhythm this year,” he says. “But it felt nice to have that one good heat with Adam Melling.” The heat he means was a lil’ round three match-up, in which Jules posted up a combined total of 18.57 outta 20. The result this year is better than last year’s and, as Jules will tell you, it’s all still a learning curve. Snapper may be a running right point and a perfect platform for Jules’ signature frontside finner, but he also has swagger on a cross-shore left. Like the one featured in this video. Probably not that bad of a session, really.
