Filipe Toledo’s “I Got Banned From Fiji” Defense

Last week, Filipe Toledo released a shot of himself at a hefty left taking a backhand crack on his IG. It was the same day the World Surf League Kelly Slater Pro kicked off in Fiji. Intentional? We think so. Just as the drop of this episode of Single Sessions on a near maxed out wave in Brazil seems to be Filipe’s Fiji defense. In a year where Filly’s trying to prove his worth in bigger waves, having to sit out Fiji does him no justice. He handled big main break at Margies with aplomb and we’ll see how he fares when Chopes comes around.
