Extra Polyurethane Is A Luxury On The North Shore
Justin Quintal, Tosh Tudor, and Papa Joel explore life’s delights.
Foam is your friend.
Your best friend. The one you’ve had since you were a teenager. The one that lied to your parents flawlessly and took the blame for any empty beer cans left in their backyard. A truly noble comrade at the round table of debauchery, now and forever.
Joel Tudor and his son Tosh are good friends of foam. And, given his longboarding world title, it’s safe to say Justin Quintal isn’t afraid to shuffle his feet either. The three star in a new edit, Moon Station 2, which highlights their meticulous shapeshifting during a late-season swell on the North Shore.
The public appreciation for talented mid-length surfing has grown. The blend of composure and divergent line drawing has attracted a new audience that places technique higher than equipment on the totem pole of importance. Even the king of high-performance surfing, Kelly Slater, gave alternative board guru Torren Martyn a nod in his Surfer of The Year poll last year.
