Do Japanese Surfers Have the Best Style?
Allow one session with Kaito Ohashi to curry your favor.
Masatoshi Ohno, Hiroto Ohara, and now Kaito Ohashi are three Japanese surfers whose styles make our collective heart sing.
Something about their great flexibility and balance, paired with a low center of gravity and even lower arms, makes for truly beautiful surfing. The type that should be referenced by every semi-legitimate “surf coach” around the world.
In one reasonably pumping session, Japan’s Kaito Ohashi has stamped himself as a new favorite of Stab‘s, though judging by the Epokhe sticker on his board, it’s clear we’re not the first to appreciate Kaito’s effortless glide.
Dion and crew are infamous aesthetes when it comes to selecting team riders.
