The new WSL ad is really good

The inaugural season of the ASP’s letters changing to the WSL’s been a hell of the year. And, the WSL have done just about everything right. From yesterday’s phenomenal big wave event at Jaws to pretty much everything it’s touched, they have been on point. Which leads us to the Pipe Masters which kicks off tomorrow, the waves on the North Shore have been firing the past few days and a proper showdown is set to commence. This new You Can’t Script This ad has to have stemmed from the Mick Fanning shark attack incident at J-bay, but it’s more than fitting for the nature of surfing. “Competitive surfing is such an unpredictable sport and that’s what makes it so compelling; with ‘You Can’t Script This,’ our goal was to create a campaign that celebrates this simple truth about the sport we love,” said Scott Hargrove, Chief Marketing Officer of the WSL. “Whether it is seeing Gabriel Medina become the first Brazilian to win a World Championship, to Sally Fitzgibbons’ victory in Fiji despite suffering a broken ear drum, to swell conditions that change by the minute, no other sport offers these types of compelling, unpredictable moments.” Sorry for gushing but we’re big fans.
