Riss Moore altered the physiognomy of female power. The 3x World Champ, who has a day devoted to her aptly named “Carissa Moore Day” in Hawaii, is seen here probing the user-friendly points and beach breaks of Israel and Morocco. After her final heat, and second place finish, at Honolua Bay, she sent off for Morocco. “Ever since I watched that Dane Reynolds segment from Morocco, I knew I needed to go there,” said Miss Moore. “I’d been dreaming about it for years. We knew that it was a bit unsafe and there had been some civil unrest, so the trip never happened. But finally, our local connection hit us up and gave us the green light.”
