Cam Richards, Noah Wegrich And Endless South American Pointbreaks

Earlier this year surf cinematographer Matt Kleiner was traversing the rugged coast South America coast with Cam Richards, Noah Wegrich and Hank Gaskell for Red Bull’s Chasing The Shot series. They found what they were looking for (see left handers running for hundreds of metres within) and captured multiple angles of the surf trio blasting their way down the point. Matt had a stack of footage that didn’t make the official cut, from high-performance action to stunning landscape cutaways, and being the good samaritan he is, lined up a fresh director’s edit and released online for your viewing pleasure.

“While the primary focus of the trip was surfing, it was hard not to get wrapped up in the beautiful scenery, landscapes and eventually the sense of time standing still,” he stated of the edit. “I wanted to make something to reflect that and not have such an emphasis purely on surf action and the fast pace we are constantly surrounded by.”
