Sorry for getting emotional over a surf edit, but it’s a pretty good message. It encourages us to think independently and avoid a monotonous lifestyle. Canadian surfer Pete Devries clearly found the words meaningful, as he used them in the opening of his latest edit, “Born Pacific.”
Pete’s surfing is always displayed in a grandiose manner. His home breaks offer backdrops of snowcapped trees and towering cliffs. Throw in some of Pete’s constantly evolving surf clips, score the footage to a striking number, and the short film writes itself.
