At What Age Did The Box First Tempt You?

Just a few short days ago, the kids who clawed their way through the Snapt5 social media gauntlet were named. Smiles cracked, joy spilled — but short lived. Shoes tied tight, schedules tighter. Chucky Dulien is in charge now. 

Thirteen-year-old Brody Mulik, wet behind the ears and barely out of primary school, was one of 28 kids handpicked by Chucky for a spot in Snapt5’s final chapter. Jack Robbo’s already stamped him ‘the real deal,’ and his latest YouTube clip from The Box is proof enough. 

You’ll remember, no doubt, that The Box once left tour surfer Sophie McCulloch folded like a paper clip, her back snapped clean. “There’s a ledge out there that’s had its way with a lot of people over the years,” West Oz filmmaker Tom Jennings told us at the time of Sophie’s misfortune. 

When you’re 13, fear is something for later. What a blessing.
