A Hot Shot Of Cool Beach Break With Pete Devries
Ramps, wedges, rubber, backdrops and Oh, Canada!
Can you name another professional surfer from Canada other than Pete Devries? Surely there are more; somewhere, tucked away in the foliage, surfing secret beaches closely guarded by wolves and bears.
Here’s a clip courtesy of the Pete and Adam Chilton duo. It’s the second in a four-part series on surfing in Canada called “On and On”.
They’re quite enjoyable, you can watch the first one here.
Apparently, Canada gets crowded. There are carparks by surfable beaches and the myths of having to take a boat to every locale, or trudge through the forest battling wildlife and the bitter cold wrapped in a 5/4/3, gloves and boots are only so true.
As wetsuit tech continues to improve and most our locales become inundated with board riders, Canada’s never seemed so inviting.
Plus, Mr Devries makes it look so fun; this may be his greatest sin.
