A GOAT-Endorsed Former National Gymnast Joins M/SF/T

“Yeah, I could still do a standing flip and all that jazz.”

Kai Hing spent ten years of his childhood doing gymnastics. Made Nationals. Explains his cat-like aerial awareness. “It feels like that was in a different life. I haven’t done it in a while, but yeah, there’s six different apparatuses. High bar, floor, trapeze, so on and so on. I was pretty good at it but it gave me scorched wrists. Had a weird dream about it the other day, and when I woke up my algorithm was sending me gymnastics vids. Might have to head down to the local gymnastics center and make a little Occ comeback.”

These days, Kai’s working in Byron at the M/SF/T store after a stint of odd jobs. Last year, courtesy of a COVID clause in his contract which meant his sponsors could pull the plug if things got too hectic, he got dropped. “I’m just appreciating the opportunity to have some backing now rather than paying to put clips together with my rent money.” Amen. Bangalow ain’t cheap. 

Kai now joins Jake and Jaleesa Vincent, Mitch Coleborn and a handful of other talent folks on the M/SF/T roster. And yes, before you point out the tractor, Kai is riding a JS in some of these clips. That is because they are spicy clips and M/SF/T don’t just make boards but apparel too.
