"If I do my math correctly, this is my 10th year of surfing Mavericks," says Luca Padua. "Relatively speaking, that's not a very long time, but it’s definitely the biggest swell I've ever seen. And, cross-referencing with Pete Mel, who's been surfing there since before I was alive, he said it was the biggest he’s seen. It was cool to share the lineup and the waves with him and have him high fiving us in between waves and him packing giant barrels himself.
