In 2021, we released 48 Stab Premium film exclusives.*

In 2022 we put out 73.

In 2023, with the 20 we’ve dropped so far and the roughly 38 we’ve listed below (in various stages of production), we’re on pace for 58.

But that estimate is misleading, because it don’t count the new grom property we’re working on, Best Surfing I’ve Ever Seen, Cheat Codes, or the opportunistic projects and Premium Peeks that inevitably pop up.

It’ll probably be more like 80-90. Exciting!

Let’s raise our binoculars toward Stab Premium’s horizon.

The man catches a wave every 3.5 mins and can test 8 boards a day. I just watched an early draft of Italo’s Stab In The Dark and it’s so refreshing. Our first Brazilian, our first goofyfoot. Set on the bubbly shores of Fernando De Noronha, it’s a new twist on a Stab classic. Drops May 4.

People really liked season one. In fact, episode 1 just surpassed Surf100 Mexico as our most-watched Premium content ever. We’re probably 15 interviews deep for season two — including Laird Hamilton, Joel Tudor, Rob Machado, Sage Erickson, Albee Layer and many more discussing a range of topics including the rise of women, the economics of surfboards, booze in surfing, hustle culture and more. The first episode will drop in June, then be released monthly thereafter.

The Old World should lube their livers and loosen their laws, because a crew of 16 international surf stars is about to barrel through France, Spain and Portugal. One of our most popular franchises from the past couple years is returning, and nobody’s getting any sleep.

The working title for this is Chiseled, a series where we get a few of the world’s best shapers in a room and eavesdrop as they unpack the things that matter to them, and you, the surfer. Like, did you know you’ve been paying wayyyy too much attention to literage? And we’ll get the 5 things you should never ask a shaper. This is currently in pre-production, so if you want to drop some questions or topics here, we’d love your input.

We haven’t publicly revealed the mystery surfer, but perhaps the Quik logo will give you a clue. Curious if anyone can guess who it is in the comments. I haven’t been this excited for an EAST since Mick went to the Maldives.

New location, new format, new surfers. Plus Ladybirds, obvies.

Probably the most underrated piece of surf content on the wwweb, in my opinion. S.U.R.F. is coming back for another season, with new challenges and fresh faces.

While we’ll be dropping entries throughout the year, we’ll be giving away the Bitcoin prize in December. Will it be worth $1,000, $100,000 or somewhere in between? We don’t know and that’s part of the fun. Suffice to say most entrants have become Bitcoin Maximalists.
