You Are Invited To Chippa Wilson & Robbie Rickard’s Film Launch Party
Bend the arm at the Old Manly Boatshed.
On Thursday 19th May from 6/7pm, Brixton’s new surf film featuring Chippa Wilson and Robbie Rickard will be premiering at the Old Manly Boatshed.
There will free booze, live music and aspirational surfing playing on a big screen.
‘Upsidedown Insideout’ is put together by Shane Fletcher, the glue of Wade Goodall’s SEOTY-winning ‘Pentacoastal’. The event will feature live music from Royel Otis and a DJ set from Rich Valentine underscoring the clink of glasses in a cute, cozy venue near the Manly Wharf.
If you can make it, you should; and if you feel uneasy about visiting places unwelcomed, fear not. This is your invitation. Surf film premiers often can feel a little high brow. Like you need to look amazing or drop a name or two to fit in. This is not one of those.
Per the blurb:
“THERE’S THIS, AND THERE’S THAT.
THIS AINT THAT.
THIS IS OUR DAY TO DAY.
IT’S GET IN THE CAR. ON THE ROAD.
UPSIDE DOWN, INSIDE OUT.
THIS IS MEDIOCRITY OF THE UTMOST.
CELEBRATING REAL TIMES WITH REAL PEOPLE.
THIS IS DONE PROPER. FOR THE JOY.”
For the joy.
