The Quik Fest Is Coming Back, And They’re Doubling Down On Music
You now have plans for September.
If you’ve spent late September in southwest France at any point, you already know.
You’re going to the Quiksilver Festival.
In 2023, Jeremy Flores and Quiksilver decided to bring some of surfing’s most gifted specimens back to a stretch of coast that had once been a pilgrimage site. That first year provided some of the best beachbreak conditions a contest has seen in recent memory, especially if you don’t mind threading your way through a glorious cavern that traveled all the way from the Labrador Sea just to break your favorite step up.
The massive turnout was one thing, but the unanimous thumbs up from every surfer who competed gave everyone enough incentive to keep the event going.

The Quiksilver Festival, presented by Swatch, turns four this year, taking over Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse from September 19 to 27 for over a week of surfing, skating, and partying — day and night. If your sceptical mind thinks we’re embellishing, just ask Al Cleland for his Quik Fest itinerary.
This year, the program is expanding with more live music, exhibitions, film screenings, skate sessions, and an increasingly rare opportunity to meet like-minded people without having to weasel your way into their DMs.
A massive upgrade comes via the involvement of SO ME and Pedro Winter from Ed Banger Records.
SO ME, creative director of the Parisian label that gave the world Justice, SebastiAn, DJ Mehdi, Mr. Oizo and Breakbot, has taken over the festival’s visual identity and created an exclusive, limited collection for the occasion. Pedro Winter, aka Busy P, is on board too, which should keep the sound quality, literally and figuratively, at its highest.
Full surfer lineup, and more, drops via Quik’s channels in the coming weeks, and here. For now, save the date and start sorting your plans.
