Stab Podcast: If You See A Shark In The Lineup, Should You Say Something?
Deplorable surf sins, a hot new Stab series, and oil spills leak through week’s roundup.
If you think you see a shark in the water, that’s generally a cue paddle in and call it a day. It’s also an ethical practice to warn anyone else in the lineup.
But then again, it could have just been a dolphin. In which case you would be ruining people’s sessions for no good reason.
…But then again (again), what if they get eaten?
Life is all about decisions, and decisions aren’t always easy. Lucky for you, Danny and Buck will sort out your worst choices on Surf Sins. This week’s penance includes yelling binomial nomenclature at an aquarium. It’s the right thing to do.
Also, news! Episode one of Stab Highway presented by Monster Energy dropped yesterday, and Danny gives us some backstory to the team selection. Remember the selection process for kickball in the schoolyard? It’s the same idea, except with some of Oz’s top free-surfing talents. In a strange twist of fate, one of the highest-paid surfers was picked close to last.
In less exciting news, a pipeline failure off the coast of Orange County leaked 144,000 gallons of crude oil into the Pacific Ocean. This environmental disaster will close surrounding beaches down for approximately 2 weeks to 2 months, a timeframe that seems unusual. Danny and Buck put on their hazmat suits and start looking for answers.
To wrap things up, Bra Boy Koby Abberton hops on the podcast to share his experience on the show SAS Australia. He covers everything from fight scenes, being the fittest person on the show, and asking a pro tennis champ his take-home salary.
