Stab Is Hiring A Senior Editor!
Are you surfing’s next critical voice?
A job in surf biz, with all its inherent industry hang-ups, is still very much a certain type of obsessive’s dream.
Stab is looking for the next critical voice in our soggy little echo chamber. With dozens of major international projects filling up the production calendar only three weeks into January, we’re going to need all the help we can get.
We’re looking for a Senior Editor, a culture vulture as comfortable in the brine as they are pop-referential, as conversational about the American Cannon as the current social algorithms terrorizing playcounts.
Here are a few of the asks, and a prompt for anyone interested in sending their salvo across the Stab transom.

Huge Bonus? Experience and comfort in front of a camera… don’t be shy.
Put Your Thinkin’ Caps On, Kids: Here’s Your Homework:
1. The Nike/Hurley sale is perhaps the biggest surf industry story of the last decade. How would you cover it, what stories would you want to read?
2. You can interview one current A-List surfer. Who do you call and what questions do you ask?
3. Pick two products from brands that you think would be good fits for Stab’s audience, and give us 150-300 words about each.
4. Grab your two favorite short surf clips from the last year from YouTube or Vimeo, and give us a 300-word write up for a post on our site.
5. Send a one-page cover letter and single page resume to: [email protected]
Submissions close February 15. Get us.
