If You’ve Never Been To A Stab Film Premiere, This Is What One Looks Like (LA Edition)
2-3 Fair was surprisingly epic.
While most of the world was watching episode 1 of Vans Stab High Indonesia, presented by Monster Energy (VSHIPBME) on YouTube or the new Stab Premium App (gasp), the folks in west Los Angeles gathered at 2-3 Fair to enjoy a live screening Thursday night.
The star-studded crowd devoured nasi campur from Bungkus Bagus and washed it down with icy agave lime Tolagos. Nathan Kostechko, who created the art that you see on this year’s VSHIPBME (along with our very own Shinya Dalby), displayed his work and chatted with admirers.
Triple-threat Garrett James — who produced/hosted Vans Stab High and emceed Thursday’s premiere — got on the tools to remind us that if he ever left Stab, he’d have a job as a DJ.
At 8:30 pm ep 1 rolled, and for 51 mins the crowd didn’t avert their gaze from the big screen. You can do the same thing here, or just venture downward and enjoy some imagery from a school night well spent.
Next Wednesday, November 2, at The Flower Shop in New York, Nathan Kostechko will have his Vans Stab High Indonesia, presented by Monster Energy art collection on display for public viewing. Episode 2 of VSHIPBME will premiere on Friday, November 4th at the Rockaway Brew CO in New York. See both event flyers below:
