Rob Machado, Kalani Robb And More Compete On Vintage Silhouettes

The 16th annual Vissla Cosmic Creek shindig was held last weekend at Salt Creek in Dana Point, California. 

The two-day event paid homage to the 70’s and 80’s with competitors matching up on various craft from yesteryear – who doesn’t love a retro dress-up party? Among the names sporting jerseys were 

Rob Machado, Kalani Robb, Rosie Hodge, Derrick Disney, Andrew Jacobson, Tyler Warren, Gunner Day and a grom brigade riding boards twice their age. The event also entailed a ‘Creators and Innovators’ division consisting of 

legendary board builders Danny Hess, Travis Reynolds, Jason Bennett, Donald Brink, Britt Merrick, Josh Sleigh, Mike Walters, Dan Boehne, and Tyler Warren. Who were required to create and compete on their own designs. Jack Coleman was there with his time machine capturing all the jives and hair flicks. If anything, you’ll enjoy watching the silk of Mr Machado, he looks right at home over vintage foam.
