Right Foot, Leg And Other “Unidentified” Human Body Parts Wash Up On Copacabana Sand

Ain’t no regular foot.

What’s worse, finding a mutilated, human leg on the beach or the fact that Brazilian officials just covered it up with a ragged old tarp and some sticks and went about their business?

rio leg

Nothing screams caution quite like a few sticks and a tarp.

Either way, a right foot, leg and other unidentified body parts have been found in the sand on Copacabana Beach mere steps from the Olympic volleyball venue. It’s unclear where said appendages came from, but CNN reports it’s believed they’re from a woman or a young adult.

They also said there was “no indication of foul play.”

One might be safe in assuming otherwise. The finding comes in the wake of heavy gun battles after a group of armed criminals helped a nefarious drug trafficker escape a local hospital.

“A family set up on the beach and there in front of them was a leg and some remains of a belly, I just couldn’t believe it so I had to see it for my own eyes,” said a beach vendor, who seemed remarkably cool and causal about it all. “I got up closer, and it was real.”

Rogue body parts, economic and political instability, zika virus, rampant ocean pollution, is it too early to start taking alternates for the 2017 Rio Pro?
