Nathan Florence Announces Engagement To Model And Hawaiian Heiress Mahina Garcia

The daughter of Kauai-born North Shore enforcer, Kai Garcia, will be wed to the middle Florence bro!

Two months ago, we learned in an exclusive Pick-Up interview that the 27-year-old, 2x World Champion John Florence had nervously proposed to his long-time Aussie partner, Lauryn Cribb, on the simmering beaches of Oahu.

Lauryn, of course, said yes.

Today, via Instagram, it’s been revealed that the 25-year-old Cape Fear champ and brother to John, Nate Florence, has also delivered a finger-width dowry to his enduring missus, one Mahina Nohealani Garcia.

For those unaware, Mahina Garcia is a fitness model with 116k Instagram followers. If you’re wondering where her strength and fitness dedication come from, Mahina can thank both nature and nurture, as her pops is the most physically impressive figure on the North Shore, an exercise afficionado, Mr. Kai ‘Borg’ Garcia.

This, perhaps, explains why the middle Florence bro has been training so relentlessly over the past few years—not to survive Jaws and Mav’s, but rather to ingratiate himself with the Garcia clan so that he’d have good standing with the family should he and Mahina ever choose to wed.

And do you think Nate flexed his traps when asking Mr. Garcia for his permission to marry Mahina (assuming that ancient custom still persists)? Or did he play it cool and let his pectorals do the talking?

Impossible to know, but we’d like to wish Nate and Mahina the happiest of tandem rides through the wonderful wave of life.
