My Mom Tried Her Best, Stab’s Oceanside ‘DNA’ Premiere, Presented By Monster Energy Did The Rest
Oside’s bloodlines celebrate a film about brotherhood.
Last night, Stab hosted the second live premiere of ‘DNA’: The Colapinto Brothers’ presented by Monster Energy. The event took place at Stab HQ in Oceanside, a brief e-bike away from the pier.
Surfboards were donated to Surfers Not Street Children, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of kids in South Africa through the power of surf. Our partners at Oakley will be hand-delivering the boards to J-Bay’s township.
Speaking of donors, Cheyne Magnusson was first. He arrived with a beautiful variety of boards— some from Jackson Dorian’s uber high pro Slater Designs collection, others from local shaper, Chemistry. A couple of wacky-looking wave pool experiment or two as well. Minutes later, Matt Biolos pulled up with a sprinter van full of Lost Surfboards. The racks overflowed, and groms ran fingers along every stringer and concave.
As the Shootz poke flowed out, the community rolled in — a celebration of shared DNA strands and A +++ surfing ensued. Oceanside has never felt closer—literally.
After the movie, the Disc Jockey flared, and even without fergalious in the mix—hips didn’t lie. Late night Tolagos fuelled schemes to end a menacing lineup threat—pier fishing.
Hence, the world has been made a better place.
