Matt Biolos Wraps A Stellar Q2 On The WSL Shaper Rankings
Exemplary collaboration, all in a fast-paced environment.
Matt Biolos — the former Stab In The Dark champion and 3x WSL Shaper Rankings champion — is now putting up Kim Jong Un-approval-rating numbers on the Surfboard Empire x Veia Leaderboard after Rio.
The San Clemente fiberglass baron was already leading the Shaper Rankings after El Salvador before making a clean sweep through Brazil with two of his team riders — Yago Dora and Sawyer Lindblad — atop the podium.
In case you missed it, here’s the finals day comp wrap, where Sawyer Lindblad claimed her first CT win and reigning World Champ Yago Dora procured his fourth.

Shaper Rankings #2 spot Marco Zouvi (Sharpeye) put up another fight with two of his own surfers — former Ladybird champion Tya Zebrowski and current world #1 Leonardo Fioravanti — both getting runner-up finishes in Rio.
Darren Handley (DHD), ranked #3 currently, also snagged some more points from Semifinal finishers Ethan Ewing and Nadia Erostarbe.

And the #4 spot Jason Stevenson (JS) remains in Copper position with Quarterfinal finishes from Kauli Vaast and Miguel Pupo.
Channel Islands (#5) is also back on the board with a Semifinal finish from Saquarema local Joao Chianca.
After Rio, the Surfboard Empire Shaper Rankings order remains the same, but with a far wider berth for Lost:

The South Pacific leg is up next. Tokoro, Stretch, and Bushman are expecting a massive leap up the rankings.
