Lakey Peterson Weds Aussie Surf Dog, Thomas Allan

“We are beyond grateful for all those who made it and are beyond excited to tackle life as the ‘Allan’ team.”

Hear that sound? That’s the orchestral ring of a thousand hearts breaking! Yup, the 2018 women’s world number two, Lakey Peterson, is wearing a new ring on her fourth finger.

Yesterday the 24 year-old tied the knot with Thomas Allan, osteopath and highly-adept Victorian surfer, at Rancho Dos Pueblos in Santa Barbara, Lakey’s homeland.

Among those in attendance was long time tour buddy, Sage Erickson (hand in hand with Stab’s own Jacob Wooden) and Tournotes mastermind, Peter King.

The day didn’t come without its challenges however, thanks to heavy storms causing flooding and road blockages. But that didn’t halt any vow sharing or subsequent dance floor activity (yes Sage, we’ve seen the video!).

As expected, Lakey stunned. See attached imagery, taken by photographer Kevin Voegtlin as seen on Instagram.

Interestingly, the women’s tour features more singles than the men’s tour. Only two surfers on the men’s tour (Conner Coffin and Gabe Medina are without long term partners).

This biggest question now remains; Does this mean we’ll see a Lakey Allan listed in the drawsheet for the impending Boost Mobile Pro on the Gold Coast?

Big love from Stab to the newlyweds.
