Kolohe Andino responds to Danny Clayton
Zoe, as photographed for Stab by Richie Freeman. Kolohe Andino won the Australian Open on the weekend in Manly, but that wasn’t the only thing that drew attention to his Sydney visit. In a Channel V broadcast, host Danny Clayton (28) ‘advised’ Kolohe to “Stay the fuck away from my girlfriend,” (model Zoe Cross, 18, who you certainly know from here). Clayton accused Kolohe of sending Ms Cross text messages that were “making her feel uncomfortable.” Kolohe kept his game face on whilst the contest was on, but has since explained his side of the story to Sydney institution Kiis FM. “When I first saw it I was pretty bummed,” said Kolohe. “It really questioned my character and it was completely blown out of proportion. “I don’t want people thinking I was raised wrong and thinking I was creeping out a girl. The part where he says I’m making her feel uncomfortable … I was pretty bummed, but I’m here to do a job and I did it and I’m happy with the weekend. “I don’t look at myself in the mirror and say I’m a threat to guys’ girlfriends.” Kolohe admitted that he still has Zoe’s number, and added that he’s giving D-Clay “the benefit of the doubt.” “It sounds like he just might have blacked out and said something he didn’t mean.” So far, Ms Cross’s only public commentary on the subject has been via her Facebook, where she accompanied a link to the video with the apt sentiment: “LOL.”
