The claws on those things.

Prodigious talents and former Ladybirds Sierra Kerr and Erin Brooks have been awarded wildcard spots for the 2024 Corona Fiji Pro, the ninth and final event before the WSL Finals. Kelly Slater + a TBD Trials winner will be filling the slots for the men.

Erin Brooks is currently second on the 2024 Challenger Series rankings at 16 years old, and is a grub screw (3,225 points or a 9th place finish) away from securing a full-time spot on the CT after just three CS events. Having trained extensively in Fiji and performed well in Indo, famously beating Ian Crane and Nic Von Rupp in the 2022 Padang Cup, she would be devastating on her frontside, be it at Cloudy or Restaurants.

Sierra Kerr, the 2024 WSL World Junior Champion and 2023 Stab Surfer of the Year, is renowned for her backside tube-riding skills which bookend Pre-Kerrsor – her 18-minute breakthrough film which nearly won SEOTY. At 17, Sierra is one of the most consistently barreled females on earth, and has collected several commendable results in the Vans Pipe Masters, the Nias and Krui QS’s and Snapper Challenger, to name only a few.

Kelly Slater counts four victories and eight perfect 10’s in Fiji CT’s. Needless to say, his tuberiding skills are still some of the most polished of any surfer on the planet and he will give not a single fuck booting guys from the top five as a 52-year old.

The second men’s wildcard will be decided by the winner of the Fiji Trials, which will be held on the best day at Cloudbreak between now and July 31.

Good choices Wozzle.
