If you didn’t see it live, or on a surf site, then perhaps you saw it on CNN, SBS, ABC, Esquire, or one of the many other unlikely portals that wouldn’t have ever posted it if it’d happened pre-J-Bay final. Anyways, Kelly scooped a 4.17 and most of the Internet thought that was bullshit. In something of a response, here’s a WSL clip featuring Kelly discussing the wave with commentator Ross Williams, as well as head judge Richie Porta breaking down the score from a criteria perspective.
