Jack Robinson, despite being only 18, is generally regarded as the best surfer at The Box and North Point, two of the very tubing and very right-hander potential locales for the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro. And, the WSL Commissioner’s Office have just allocated the young natural-footer one of two wildcards into the 2016 event.

“I feel very privileged to be chosen,” said Jack. “I can’t wait for the show to begin and I’m looking forward to competing on home turf and also considering the extra locations available this year.”

Mr Kieren Perrow has a discerning eye. His own skill at nasty waves on shallow reef is world class and he knows Jack is a serious threat and drawcard to the event.

Mr Jay Davies, who won last year’s trials and a spot in the main event, proved that local wildcards can really stir things up. He was a real charm to last year’s event, finishing fifth overall. To surf this year, he still needs to win the trials.
