If you’d asked most surfers on the world tour, during the last few years, who would’ve hosted the best post-win party, all would’ve had Matt Wilko in their top three. But since Wilko’s landed on a wild old hot streak, the goofyfooter playing Gatsby has become a reality. And, he hasn’t disappointed. Submitted as evidence, one receipt, captured by Surfing staff shooter, Corey Wilson (aka @leafmonky). Sixty-eight Carlton Drafts, 70 tequila shots, 30 shots of Beam, 30 shots of Galliano and 142 shots of vodka are some of the finer moments from the docket. Unfortunately we’re not gifted the final total, but $4,782 worth is visible. Either way, isn’t this a wonderful testament to Wilko’s generous character? What a people’s champ he is.
