Guess Who Else Just Got Invited To The Vans Pipe Masters
3 more withdrawals, and 3 more exciting replacements.
A few days ago we released an updated list of the Vans Pipe Masters invitees, which was adjusted for injury withdrawals and their replacements.
Now, with the event window merely three days away, we’ve got another replacement update.
Man of the people — and intergalactic explorer — Eithan Osborne will be replacing Jack Robinson, who has pulled out due to a burst appendix. Heal up, Robbo!
Josh Moniz, in his first significant return to competition since his Supertubos neck injury, will be filling in for John John Florence who, after his win at Haleiwa, will be taking time off to recharge and focus on the 2023 World Tour.
And finally, Vans Stab High Presented by Monster Energy punter Shane Sykes will be taking the place of ol’ canola oil Slater, who has slipped out of our grasp yet again.
While we were looking forward to seeing these grizzled gents in the Vans Pipe Masers, the fact that they’ve been replaced by three high-flying lunatics — one of which has won a Pipe event before — is at least a worthy consolation.
Below is the fully updated list of invitees, once again.
