All photos by Tom Carey Pipeline and Backdoor turned on today. And through the day, the stretch wore two very different suits. Here, we drift in the channel with the lens of photographer Tom Carey, between the hours of 1pm and 4pm. The afternoon wasn’t as pretty as the morning – more beautiful in that raw, scary way. The wind switched, strengthened, and brought new values to the lineup. Tom was the only lens in the lineup for some time – a perk of staying at the (very front and centre) Volcom house.
