Is Gabriel Medina Going To Be A Daddy?

Cryptic IG post sparks response from surf world.

32 years old. Three world titles. An Olympic medal. A global celebrity whose face could launch a thousand ships, and a man with the (alleged) sexual conquests of Genghis Khan. What else is there left to conquer in the wild, wild world of young men’s achievements?

The seed must be spread, of course. We’re a little late to this one, but a few days ago, Gabriel Medina took to Instagram to announce his first child… or so it seems.

Gabby uploaded what appears to be an AI generated image of an ultrasound, featuring a foetus on a surfboard. Thousands chimed in with their congratulations. The photo was liked more than 300,000 times and commented on by João Chianca, Filipe Toledo, Jack Robinson, Strider, Mick Fanning, and even the WSL itself, all of whom seem convinced that Medina is on a path to fatherhood.

The mother, though unmentioned in the post, appears to be Brazilian model Isabella Arantes, his girlfriend. Though it’s unclear how long the two have been an item, they first announced their love to the world on Instagram, only a short seven weeks ago. The heart knows love when it feels it.

Along with the ultrasound, Medina has also decided to launch a children’s surf brand, Medininha – the boy of the sea. On the site, you can buy little person soft tops, as well as their accompanying leg ropes.
