December’s Comment Of The Month Is A Sharp Critique Of Our Collective Hypocrisy

Can Stab commenters practice what they pine for?

At the height of the Ancient Rome’s power, it’s estimated that up to 50% of the population watched at least one combat event at the Colosseum a year, while only 0.5% served in the military.

We like to watch things we aren’t willing to do.

December’s Comment of the Month centers on this phenomenon. It’s widely known that the cure for Stab Premium commenters griping is “Big Fucking Barrels”. But, are we ever indulging in the danger ourselves?

The winning comment comes to us by way of the article, “The 20 Best Surfboard Models On The Market, According To You — Part 1”, where we broke down the data and ranked our Premium Members’ favorite surfboards. With boards like Channel Islands’ “Twin Pin” and “FishBeard”, Album’s “Twinsman”, HaydenShapes “Hypto Krypto”, and …Lost’s “Round Nose Fish” cracking the Top 20, it’s no wonder we copped some criticism from the hi-pro police:

Headache, please send us an email at [email protected] with screenshot proof of your Disqus account — you just won a free year of Stab Premium and you will be entered in the running for the mega-prize for “Comment of the Year” at then end of, you guessed it, the year. We are currently in the process of choosing Comment of the Year. Stab Premium commenters will decide on 50% of the vote. Stay tuned.

If you remember from this article, Headache will now be one of 12 commenters (one for each month) that will be a candidate for COTY. He’ll be sparring against 11 other Gladiators for top honors.

Happy campaigning.
