Forty-eight hours ago, we premiered the fourth and final episode of Stab in the Dark with Taj Burrow.

If you missed ep 1, watch it here.
If you missed ep 2, watch it here.
If you missed ep 3, watch it here.

If you missed ep 4, watch it here.

Out of respect for our Stab Premium readers, we decided to withhold announcing the winner so that everyone had time to watch without the surprise being spoiled. Now it’s time to announce the winner to the world.

Without further philandering, the winner of Stab in the Dark with Taj Burrow is…Sharp Eye!

That’s right. The Brazilian-born, San Diego-residing Marcio Zouvi is this year’s Stab in the Dark champion.

After seeing the success of Sharp Eyes beneath the feet of Filipe Toledo, Kanoa Igarashi, and Rio Waida, it’s little surprise that Taj adored his Disco Inferno in Dark Arts construction

Vigilant viewers might be thinking, “Wait, didn’t Taj say that board was too small for him?”

Well, yes—after his first session on the Sharp Eye. But the intensity with which Taj surfed over the two-month SITD filming window (discussed in great detail here) served as an accidental fitness regime, one which had TB in peak condition by the time the finals rolled around.

Long story short, the Sharp Eye’s volume was most appropriate come decision day, and Taj liked this board the best.

In the simplest terms: “It was just stuck to my feet!”

Congrats to Marcio and Sharp Eye, and thanks as always to our tester and long-time Stab supporter, TB.

The final results:
1. Sharp Eye
2. Channel Islands
3. Pukas
4. LSD
