Watch: Stephanie Gilmore’s Acid Test Bonus Section Courtesy Of Rob Machado And Parley
An eco-friendly Electric Acid Surfboard Test extra!
Regardless how luxurious Creatures of Leisures’ coffins are, it ain’t easy carting ten-plus boards halfway around the globe—especially when many are heavily glassed, thick, “alternative” designs.
But given the generous support our friends at Corona provided to The Electric Acid Surfboard Test, we were beyond happy to slip another whip into the coffin, especially considering it was not only built by Rob Machado, but it comprised eco-friendly materials courtesy of Corona’s partnership with Parley. The board was originally shaped for last year’s Bali event, but the sexy little Seventies outlined swallow tail went unridden until it was unsheathed in Mozambique by Stephanie, given a little half-cocked Posca pen art, and put through its paces at one of Tofo’s back beachies.

While we were on a pretty tight schedule, with a slightly deflated forecast and nine days to test eleven boards, Steph was more than keen to get a wiggle on the Machado, and as pleasantly surprised by how “high performance” she could get on the little epoxy single-fin.

With a DIY Acid Test-themed paint job, and a sturdy little True Ames single fin, Steph went to town on Mozambique’s playful beachies.
