This Is Without A Doubt The Warmest Wetsuit On The Planet

Clinical trials produced irrefutable evidence.

In last year’s wetsuit test, Rip Curl’s Flashbomb Heat Seeker earned awards as both the warmest and fastest-drying suit. We wanted to know if the recently acquired brand could retain those same quality metrics in 2019.

Hint: They did.

Whether it’s those Tron patches on the arms or the insular lining that looks like it was ripped straight out of drywall (note: our wetsuit tester has showed no signs of mesothelioma), that damn Flashbomb Heat Seeker is warmer than summer asphalt.

Short of those wretched robot suits with built-in electric heaters, we’ve never felt so supremely cocooned by neoprene. It’s like surfing in utero.

The Heat Seeker 3/2 even prevailed in the ice bath test—our pseudo-scientific foray in the 2019 Best Wetsuits test.

This is not to neglect Rip Curl’s E-Bomb 4/3, which scored in the upper echelon of our comfort category. Top-2, to be precise.

Growing up in Torquay, it’s no wonder the folks at Rip Curl have produced a quality product. Their surfing life depends on it.

Watch the full review of both Rip Curl suits above, then check their aesthetic appeal below.
